summer's end

days go by so fast i cannot see each wild night fades into a dim lit memory wishing for things i can't touch wondering why i hoped so much each day seems like the last i can't tell the present from the past cant tell the laughter from the tears these short months are turning into long years i've loved and hated so much my heart has disappeared i smile but im hiding im breathing yet im dying i promise but im lying the liquor gets a hold of me it chains me but it sets me free looking forward to every day hoping i'll be led astray dreaming till the stars shine brighter till the sky falls or the moon gets lighter days go by so fast i cannot see i love it i need it bring me another memory
