you stare into space with glazed eyes
i don't think you see much of anything
anymore
i miss your fresh and pillowed lips
the sorrow in your kiss
well i watch you while you're gone
such beauty in your misery
i never knew deceit could look
as good as you
while your mind is somewhere else
i've stayed beside your absence
but i'd go anywhere to find you

instead i lay here in screaming silence
it's deafening

seep through the window as you sleep
my eyes have been burning for weeks

Tip Toe Across Forever

Small fractures all over. Memories lay in fragments, tormenting our careless minds by being incomplete. I can't compete. Bright as day, then black as night. My heart beat right then ruptured at the sight of you. You tangle and twist my words as they slide off of my tongue. Forever young with an endless curse, destined to walk the stars alone. Not much is worse than being far from home. Just yesterday we loved like angels all dressed in white. Now we're frightened by the depth at which we fell. If love is hell I'll still be by your side. When the sun and the earth collide. Through the dark times, and the times when the world is not so heavy. Until the sky is the ground, until we're all bloody and blind and upside down.
