Driving

The amber evening sun was shining just right...just enough to saturate my surroundings in vivid shades of color. My window was down, the air was warm, and I had a smile on my face. The song playing on the radio was so fitting that I felt like I was in a movie with the perfect soundtrack. Life, by no means, felt perfect...but perfectly okay. It's rare to catch yourself in moments of happiness. More often I have found myself reminiscing, "I was happy then". Today I thought to myself, "I am happy". Today was a beautiful day.
